Intensive laboratory work on sorting and identifying invertebrates from monitoring campaigns

Over the past few months, we’ve been busy processing samples in our labs that were collected throughout the season from our ongoing field projects. We’re sorting epigeic invertebrates from pitfall traps, arthropods such as pollinators from sweep nets, and soil invertebrates. After sorting the samples into individual taxa, we continue with many external colleagues with the identification of specimens to the species level.

Supported by the projects: Rationalisation of wildflower strip application to support biodiversity on arable land (TAČR SS07010296), Rationalization of agricultural landscapes to combine production functions with efficient biodiversity support (ZEMĚ II QL24010300) and Optimising biodiversity support for solar parks in the open countryside (TAČR SS07020239).
