Announced selection procedures are always published on the FES website, Facebook and students are informed via university student emails.
Procedure in arranging Erasmus internships for students
The student can contact the International Relations Office of the Faculty of Environmental Science (IRO FES) to find out whether positions in internships are available for the given academic year, and pass the faculty’s selection procedure.
Students always search for an internship on their own. They may ask the FES Erasmus internship coordinator for some offers, but the student has to be proactive in finding a placement.
Students apply based on the call and follow instructions in the informative email. Usually, it is effortless. The student needs to reserve a time slot without any formal submission; a simple email is sufficient. Students also submit the following:
- CV (in English or Czech)
- Letter of Motivation written in English*
- Transcript of Records from the entire studies (soft copies of Diploma Supplement or UIS grade outcome are sufficient)
*If you do not know how to write a Letter of Motivation, ask the Study Counsellor for help or participate in the workshop. Another option is to look online for templates.
The second and crucial step is to participate in the interview. The entire interview is in English, and the student is always asked for his/her motivation, studies at FES and the destination for the internship.
After the selection procedure
The FES Erasmus internship coordinator informs selected students on next steps.
Basically, students fill in the forms required for an internship, can be found here, and FES Erasmus internship coordinator will send students the amended version (always communicate with the FES Erasmus internship coordinator).
Documents have to be approved by both the IRO and IRO FES.
a) Application for internship – the Czech University of Life Sciences (CZU) form plus the compulsory annexes.
b) Online Learning Agreement for Traineeships – from 2021/2022 only online document.
c) Statutory declaration related to an internship - CZU form.
d) Request Form for UIS - CZU form.
If the student leaves during the regular semester and has study duties, Individual Study Plan is required. The student needs to arrange it with his/her Study Coordinator. During the whole period of student's stay within the internship, the student must be enrolled CZU student (except for graduation internships)!
