What is BIP?
BIP stands for Blended Intensive Programme and is a new type of mobility within the Erasmus+ programme that combines short-term (5 to 30 days) physical mobility with a virtual component (online meeting, workshop, presentation, etc.)
Where to go on BIP and how to find it?
Where to go on BIP
The Blended Intensive Programme is five to thirty days programme (something like a summer school) organised by one university abroad. It can be organised as a "closed" BIP, meaning only students from specific partner universities can participate. Or a university can open its BIP to all interested students from any other university.
It is important to have an Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) between the university from which the student is going abroad (i.e. CZU) and the university organising the BIP, which defines the number and types of Erasmus+ mobility between the two institutions. The CZU partner universities are listed on the interactive map below.
If you can't find the university organising the BIP on the interactive map, that's not the end. CZU can conclude a new Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement only for your participation in the BIP. In this case, it is important to deal with everything well in advance, preferably two months before the BIP.
How to find BIP?
- in a voluntary BIP database where organising universities can register their BIPs: https://erasmusbip.org/. - this database is voluntary and certainly does not include all BIPs, we do not guarantee the correctness of the data and information provided
- subscribe to the International Activity Update from the central International Relations Office, which often receives BIP offers by email: Subscribe the newsletter for IRO!
- on the websites of universities abroad
- ask at the International Relations Department (or the Vice Dean/Dean for International Relations) of your faculty
WARNING: Never go on an Erasmus BIP without the knowledge of the coordinators from CZU. You would be misleading and could cause big problems for the host institution, which draws funds for each Erasmus participant on the BIP. Without the knowledge of CZU, you are not considered an Erasmus participant but merely a 'student on a trip,' and the receiving institution cannot draw funds for you.
How to appy for BIP?
How to apply for BIP?
First step is to find the BIP itself for which you use the part How to find a BIP above. Please remember that BIP is an organised event!
It is necessary to apply for a BIP at least 50 days prior to its start!!!
The same application process as for other types of mobility works for BIP as well. If you have chosen the BIP you want to attend and have ensured that there is an Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement between CZU and the hosting university, please apply to the selection procedure at your faculty.
Selection procedures for BIPs are open all year round. Please always apply at least one month before the scheduled start of the BIP. For BIPs during the summer holidays, at least two months before the start.
