The insect ecology team is traditionally part of the organizational team of the Kostelecke inspirovani conference. Michal Řeřicha and Filip Harabiš were the main organizers of the 11th edition. We would also like to thank other members of our team for helping us organize the conference, namely: Jana Hronková, Martin Štrobl, Miroslav Seidl and Michal Knapp. The conference took place on 14-15th November at the Kostelec nad černými lesy castle and was attended by 150 mostly young scientists representing 17 institutions across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. A total of 39 posters and 46 lectures were presented. Jan Lepš and Martin Weiser spoke as plenary speakers. Markéta Sasínková and Adam Tetaur were awarded for the best lecture and poster. The conference was successful both scientifically and socially - we completely drank and ate the local brewery during the social evening.
