We are currently starting a pilot project, which is supported by a grant from the City of Prague. The project focuses on insect pollinators in Prague. The management of urban grasslands is often done incorrectly and causes the loss of insect biomass and diversity in the city. Our goal is to point out this issue and offer an easy and effective solution. Appropriate management of lawns and sowing of nectar-rich meadow flowers will ensure a local support to insect pollinators. Citizens should be well informed and, at the same time, effectively involved in such activities. This will be an essential part of our project. Preparatory work is currently underway at selected localities and a website is being set up. Soon all info will also be on Facebook and Instagram. So, watch us and keep your fingers crossed!
