Artificial caterpillars around the world

Our global predation experiment has just begun! The first packages filled with plasticine (shaped like caterpillars – not bombs) have been sent around the world, and now we eagerly await the results. Over the next two years, several dozen collaborating scientists from all continents (except Antarctica) will help us gathering data. Through this experiment, we want to demonstrate that human activities (intensive agriculture) are so influential that they can even alter the fundamental rules of nature's functioning (natural latitudinal gradients).
