Management activities to support the biodiversity of arthropods around the Prokop Valley

Even during the dormant season, management continues at sites near Prokopské údolí in Prague. This work is supported by the Norwegian funds as part of the project supporting the biodiversity of butterflies and other arthropods. In the first half of November 2022, goats were still grazing in the area below Dívčí Hrady. During the winter, we performed a local sanitation of trees in the area above Asuan pond. On most of the managed habitats, we mow the undergrowth to rejuvenate plants for March. Students from the Otokar Chlup Secondary School in Butovice helped us above Asuan pond.
