The new TAČR project “flowery strips” is already running

In this project we aim to provide evidence and data to improve and continue support for biodiversity in agricultural landscapes using flower strips. Our new findings will be directed towards possible modifications of this agri-environmental instrument on arable land in the Czech Republic. We are working with cooperating farmers from VIN agro s.r.o. and 7 other agriculture companies. We have already started some of the field work and are establishing experimental nectareous flower strips across the country. Furthermore, we started monitoring insect (e. g. pollinators) populations in flower strips during different harvesting periods.
