Ezequiel González's first publication affiliated to the FES-CZU in Prague

During the first weeks of his stay in Prague, Ezequiel devoted his time to creating a manuscript based on data from Argentina. The article, entitled “Something is lost and something is gained: loss and replacement of species and functional groups in ant communities at fragmented forests” was recently published in the journal Landscape Ecology. The study shows that fragmentation of the original forest stands results into high species and functional diversity of ants in ecotones, turnover of species from large to small fragment, but also a decrease in the abundance of some groups of ants.
