Spring 2016 – field and lab research continues

Some research teams continue in field data collecting also in 2016. The goal of researchers is to obtain larger amount of data and thus improve their research outputs. One of them is Miroslav Šálek with his team. They have already started this year’s monitoring of nesting sites of meadow waders. The good news is they have found large nesting site of Northern Lapwing in an area under agroenvironment schemes targeted on lapwing conservation. Further fieldwork will be carried out also by Jana Kocourková’s team. They are going to monitor lichens of primeval forests in the Upper Palatine Forest, the Giant Mountains and in the Beskids. Currently, this team is intensively working in the lab because they are trying to simplify chemical method of lichen determination.
