Applicants must pass the Online admission test on the Moodle platform. The applicants will get the invitation letter for the test, including login information, after the application submission deadline via the portal https://is.czu.cz/prihlaska. After logging in to the Moodle platform, the applicants can see the instructions on the online admission test.
You are strongly encouraged to log in to the platform shortly after receiving the invitation with the instructions to ensure that you can access the Moodle platform and understand how to make the identity check, the structure of the test, and how to take it.
The test examines the prerequisites for the study, i.e.
- for ENVA: general knowledge in mathematics, physics, hydrological cycle and elementary chemistry
- for NCO: general knowledge about ecology and biology
- for EGS: general knowledge about geology and environmental chemistry
- for LPA: general knowledge about ecology, landscape ecology, physical geography

The online admission test is done on the Moodle platform, and online proctoring via the SMOWL application is used to check the applicant's identity and ensure that the rules for the online test are not violated. The information about the platform will be sent to applicants after the application deadline, not later than one week before the test.
Prohibited Items and Actions During the Online Admission Test
Additional People or Assistance
- You must be alone in the room. No other individuals may be present or assist you in any way.
Electronic Devices (Except the One Used for the Test)
- Do not use additional computers, tablets, mobile phones, or smartwatches.
- Headphones, earbuds, or any ear/hearing devices (wired or wireless) are strictly prohibited unless medically required (with prior approval).
- External keyboards, mice, or other accessories not integral to the main testing device may also be restricted unless explicitly allowed.
External Materials and Resources
- Books, notes, cheat sheets, or any printed or digital reference materials are not permitted.
- Avoid browsing external web pages, applications, or documents. Once the test begins, you must remain within the official test environment.
Camera and Testing Environment
- You must stay within view of the camera at all times.
- Your microphone (if required) and camera should remain on; any attempt to obstruct or disable them will be considered a violation.
- Keep your face clearly visible (no hats that obscure your face, sunglasses, etc.).
Prohibited Behaviors
- Leaving the test area (e.g., walking out of camera view).
- Interacting with others (in person or online).
- Engaging in any form of recording, streaming, or capturing test content.
Additional Requirements or Exceptions
- Any specific assistive devices or accommodations (e.g., medical, disability-related) must be pre-approved in writing.
- Failure to follow these rules may result in immediate termination of the test or disqualification of results.
