Wageningen University PhD candidates visited Smart Landscape in Amalie

We were thrilled to host a group of PhD candidates from the Earth Systems and Environmental Change Group of Wageningen University and Research at our Department of Water Resources and Environmental Modeling. The day was filled with meaningful discussions as we exchanged ideas about our universities’ research and explored potential solutions to some of today’s most pressing local and global environmental challenges.
A highlight of the visit was the series of keynote presentations on our department’s latest work on the innovative smart landscape Amalie. This unique project exemplifies how we can pave the way for smarter, more sustainable land management.
In the afternoon, our visitors had the opportunity to experience Amalie firsthand during a field trip, where they saw the various real-world implementations of this cutting-edge research. This event was a fantastic reminder of the power of collaboration in driving positive environmental change on both local and global scales.
