The main topics focused on by the CEC team are related to:

  • Escape behavior in birds: Flight Initiation Distance
  • Animal behavior in the cities: Urban avoiders, adapters and exploiters
  • Artificial resource for wildlife in the urban ecosystems: Bird feeders and nest-boxes
  • Citizen science programs: involving common people in research and conservation programs
  • Using modern technologies and camera systems as tools for citizen science, environmental education and popularizing scientific research
