Receiving organisation/enterprise, country: University of Helsinki, Finnish Museum of Natural History, Finland

Traineeship description and evaluation: I worked on a research project which was agreed before the departure. I processed some data and learnt how to analyse them. I also participated in group meetings.

Personal comments and culture shock: The education system is on a high level, emphasising independent work. Everybody can speak English. Finnish can seem close and unapproachable at first sight. However, they are really kind, honest and willing to help with anything.
