Field work in České Středohoří mountains

In October 2018 was excavated the second pluzina field systems in České Středohoří mountains in the surrounding of Oblík hill by the team from University of South Bohemia. These pluzina systems are in the old colonisation area and they are the lowest systems we have in NAKI project. Also, the shape of this pluzina is different. It is not a long strip field, but fields divided into the square or rectangular parcels. The trench through the hedgerow was excavated and samples of soil for other analyses were taken. The palaeoecological core has been taken from wetland in near vicinity of the field system for determination of the past local vegetation by the pollen analysis. This profile was deep almost 4 m and it was dated by the radiocarbon to the Middle Ages.
