Pia presented her preliminary results on the developmental rate diversity of Calliphora vicina (Diptera: Calliphoridae) between five European localities : Rende (Italy), Lausanne (Switzerland), Vienna (Austria), Prague (Czech Republic), and Stockholm (Sweden). Pavel talked about breeding of Necrophila americana (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Silphinae) and particularly the effect of the temperature and modeling it.
The conference was in a professional yet extremely friendly atmosphere. We learned, gathered new ideas and hypotheses for future experiments, and made valuable contacts with great researchers and colleagues.
