Cooperation with the Institute of Entomology of the Biology Centre in České Budějovice

In the last days, we have carefully collected ladybirds and then visited Lucka Kučerová (Institute of Entomology) in České Budějovice to continue with our joint experiment. For example, we investigate how ladybird species differ in their resistance to nematode parasites and their symbiotic killer bacteria. We are also interested in the speed and strength of coagulation (clotting) of haemolymph across different ladybird species.
