New publication on long-distance hoverfly migration in Ecography!

Together with his colleagues, Tonda found that hoverflies are among the most abundant migratory pollinators and can carry thousands of pollen grains on their bodies. As a result, they are likely to play an important role in the long-distance transport of pollen, and therefore genes, across entire continents over distances of thousands of kilometres.
