We have just returned from the European Congress for Conservation Biology, held this year in Leiden, the Netherlands. In addition to numerous inspiring meetings with colleagues and collaborators from abroad, we organized our own thematic symposium entitled “Optimising Wildflower Plantings for Efficient Support of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in Agricultural Landscapes”. Our contributions focused on opportunities to support biodiversity and ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes through wildflower plantings. We presented the results of our research on the functioning of flower strips, pollinators, and other groups of organisms, and discussed current challenges associated with the design and management of these practices. Our participation in the congress highlighted the importance of international collaboration for advancing both biodiversity research and practical conservation. We would like to thank all colleagues who contributed to the organization of the symposium and the presentation of the results.
