Biodiversity and agricultural production can go hand in hand!

In collaboration with VIN agro s.r.o., we organized a workshop focused on opportunities to support biodiversity in agricultural landscapes while maintaining production. The event was held at the facilities of VIN agro s.r.o. and attracted strong interest from farmers, representatives of public authorities, and the non-governmental sector. The programme combined expert presentations with a field excursion. Participants had the opportunity to visit a system of flower strips and an experimental field margin, which showed them that support pollinators and other insect groups in intensively managed agricultural landscapes.

Presentations by the individual speakers are available for download here.

We would like to thank all participants for their engagement, the speakers for sharing their expertise, and VIN agro s.r.o. for its long-term collaboration in biodiversity research and practical conservation practices in agricultural landscapes. We look forward to continuing our joint activities.

Supported by projects: Rationalization of agricultural landscapes to combine production functions with efficient biodiversity support and Rationalisation of wildflower strip application to support biodiversity on arable land.
