Farah Abou Zeid successfully defended her PhD thesis

Our former PhD Farah Abou Zeid successfully defended her PhD thesis on September 17th, 2024. The thesis is entitled "Exploring the effects of urbanization on bird species in European cities".

The defence counted on the presence of a foreign reviewer (prof. Piotr Skorka, Institute of Nature Conservation, Polish Academy of Sciences) and a commission composed by the Chairman (prof. Jan Vymazal, CZU), the reviewers Tomáš Kadlec, CZU), and Ondrej Sedláček, Charles University Prague, and the CZU commission members prof. Peter Kumble, prof. Miroslav Salek (Ecology) and prof. Jan Skalos.

We are pleased that Farah enjoyed her PhD and final defence and we are fully confident she will achieve new and important success in her academic career. Go forward!
