Field Practice including excursions, soil and water sampling and field measurements was held at our experimental site near Trhové Dušníky from 30th May to 1st June 2022. We made several stops at geologically significant localities as well as at the old metallurgical slag heap close to the Příbram smelter. Students learned the basics of fieldwork and got background information about the area of Příbram, historically contaminated by former mining and smelting activities. The practice is a part of long-term research and monitoring of this highly metal-polluted area.
This year we hosted international guests from the United Kingdom, France, and Spain.
