Sarmah entitled “BLACK is the new GREEN: BLUE shades of biochar to mitigate carbon footprint” that will be held on Wednesday 19th July 2023 at 10.00 am in room D424 (building MCEV II, 4th floor) at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, CZU Prague.
Dr. Ajit Sarmah is currently a Full Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Auckland (UoA), New Zealand. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Agriculture, University of Western Australia, Perth. He obtained his PhD in ‘Soil and Water’ from the University of Adelaide, South Australia. Prof. Sarmah has gained significant national and international recognition for his applied research in BIOCHAR. His pioneering work on biochar’s use in non-soil areas such as contaminant remediation, wood plastic composites, construction & building sectors including CO2 sequestration in concrete with biochar as filler gained significant international recognition.
