CLARA International Week on Climate Change and Health organized in CZU Prague

Aleš Urban’s team Environmental Health Research Group have have organized the CLARA International Week on Climate Change and Health at FZP CZU, on September 3–9, 2026.
The first two days were dedicated to the expert workshop Cascading Impacts of Heat Waves, focused on a wide range of sectors affected by climate hazards and heat waves. The programme brought together students and experts from different countries and included lectures, seminars, practical sessions, and networking activities.
The Summer School then continued with a field trip, followed by three days of intensive training focused on climate change and health led by experienced instructors. Participants gained knowledge of the health impacts of climate change, climate epidemiology, data processing, climate modelling, and funding opportunities, as well as attended a session on academic wellbeing and productivity.
This event is supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic under the ERC CZ programme (project No. LL2410,’CLARA_CZ’).
