The larvae were accommodated in cages for several weeks, and now we will determine how they thrive in different types of freshwater environments (ponds and natural habitats). In addition to information on mortality and food availability, laboratory analyses will reveal the influence on energy reserves and immune system. In July, Anička will embark on a week-long internship at Masaryk University in Brno, where she will learn new methods for evaluating insect immunity.
