In November, we engaged in mowing and raking of ungrazed patches near Asuán. Luckily, we were assisted by students from FZŠ Otokara Chlupa, and our students from the Ecology program. In February, under the beautiful yet freezing weather, we once again put significant effort in the field! At the sites near Dívčí hrady and Asuán, we pruned shrubs to increase light availability and bring the sites closer to our goal: a valuable forest-steppe landscape, which is extremely important from a biodiversity perspective. At the same time, we pruned branches that could potentially pose a danger during goat and sheep grazing. Many thanks go to our excellent students from the Ecology program for their commitment and assistance!
