Inspired by the Insect Detect system developed by Maximilian Sittinger, our team has begun testing its own automated insect monitoring devices. We currently operate ten functional units, located, for example, near our flowering meadows on the university campus and at the premises of Pražské vodovody a kanalizace, a.s. (Prague – Vinohrady). The devices collect data on insect occurrence, and our aim is to further develop the system to improve the accuracy of insect detection and species identification. Wish us luck!
