Cooperation with the University of Wuppertal, Germany

Our Ph.D. student Aikaterini Mitzia conducted a research stay at the University of Wuppertal (Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany) within her postgraduate studies. The fellowship was realised at the Department of Soil and Ground Water Management under the supervision of Prof. Jörg Rinklebe, who is specialised in experiments using soils under dynamic redox conditions. The unique microcosm technique which was implemented enables to monitor the major factors affecting the biogeochemical processes in soils, i.e., pH, redox potential, and temperature.
