Field Practice with students at contaminated site near Příbram

Field Practice including excursions, soil and water sampling and field measurements was held at our experimental site near Trhové Dušníky from 3rd to 5th June 2019. We made several stops at geologically important localities as well as at the old metallurgical slag heap close to the Příbram smelter. Students learned basics of field work and got background information about the area of Příbram, historically contaminated by former mining and smelting activities. The practice is a part of a long-term research of this highly metal-polluted area.

We hosted international guests from Poland and France this year.
