Powerful approach for investigating the adsorption mechanism of arsenate

Layered double hydroxides have been proposed as effective sorbents for As(V). In this study, surface complexation modeling is coupled with various spectroscopic techniques to investigate the adsorption mechanisms in detail. Distribution of As(V) was determined using elemental mapping under high resolution.
