New project focusing on replacement of commercial substrate by the product coming from bio-waste has been recently funded (Project leader: Lukáš Trakal). Outputs of science and research for environmental practice – Production of stabile horticulture substrate originated from bio-waste ‘KompoChar’ offers multidisciplinary solutions to currently highlighted issues such as drought, sustainable agriculture, reducing nutrient leakage from soil, and also reducing CO2 emissions into the air. The project will be realised in close cooperation with the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the ASCR.
