Snow and lichen sampling in the Ostrava region

Ostrava region in Upper Silesia at the Czech-Polish border belongs to the most contaminated sites in Europe. It was selected as a contrasting site to the Norwegian-Finnish-Russian border as a part of the Norway grant. On March 2nd our team collected samples of snow and lichens in order to trace the metal pollution in this area. The results will be compared to the previous analyses of lichens, mosses and soil.
