Large overwintering experiment performed in cooperation with Danny Haelewaters

During the winter of 2018/2019, Michal Řeřicha, Michal Knapp, and Ezequiel González carried out a large hibernation experiment involving both field and laboratory research. In the field, we investigated the effects of temperature and humidity on the survival of various genetic forms of the harlequin ladybird.
In the laboratory, Danny Haelewaters (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Danny_Haelewaters) helped us with an experiment focused on the influence of the parasitic fungus Hesperomyces harmoniae on the winter survival and immune system functioning of Harmonia axyridis.
