Throughout this year, we continued our work in Dívčí hrady and near Asuán, close to Prokopské údolí. Goats continued grazing and we introduced several sheep to the pastures. Mosaic mowing was conducted on sown nectar-rich plots, as well as in the Dívčí hrady area. Shrub clearing allowed us to expand the grazed areas.
In autumn, we prepared part of the Dívčí hrady site for sowing Rhinanthus (yellow rattle), which is expected to bring additional biodiversity benefits by suppressing dominant grass species. Autumn mowing and biomass removal were carried out in collaboration with students from Otokar Chlup Elementary School and, for the first time, enthusiastic students from the Czech University of Life Sciences (ČZU), who actively participated in managing the Asuán site.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to these efforts!
