Hi, my name is Le Tran Hieu Anh. I am studying Environmental Data Science at FZP-CZU. Recently, I have been on a trip. And to tell you guys about this journey, let’s start with a sentence.
“GO GREEN OR GO HOME!!” - That is the motto I have been using for the final presentation at Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest. It is not a long sentence. Still, I cherished it much, just as much as the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program.
To get to study and to create something out of what we learn is such an amazing journey for me. Not only to join in but to actively participating in our own way. One day I was making a “dirt tiramisu” ( aka Microbial Fuel Cell ) the next I am planning a construction project with my dear friends from the program. To work and research in a lab environment, exploring the potential of what we can do to our living environment when implementing traditional methods and with sustainable technology is truly wonderful.
We also have field trip to the Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP). Seeing people doing what their passion is about with one of the most advanced equipment in the world is fascinating. Having visited the control room, the research area to even the safety procedure managing lab. Each having their own priority but together as a whole, they do the what the world’s call advancing in technology. Imagining myself one day to be at that level is a huge step, still that is what I would call passion.
Aside from the study itself, I am fortunate enough to meet people from all backgrounds and personalities. It helps me to discover cultures traditions and lifestyle, to create connection with people and especially to enrich myself with memories. To me, even just for a short trip, they are family. Everyday hanging out until dark of night and chatting away our stories in the slight breeze of wind with the sound of the passing night bus. After getting back from the trip, sometimes I still recall those moments.
At the end of the day, I am glad that I have the opportunity to participating in this program, to meet people from UTCB, from ELI-NP and especially my friends from different corners of Europe. If I get to experience this journey again, I would gladly do it again and wouldn’t change a thing. Hopefully in the future, my journey will continue somewhere else, different people and unique cultures but at the end just as the start, I wouldn’t change a thing.
