Workshop on non-productive habitats in agricultural landscapes

At a workshop held in cooperation with VIN AGRO s.r.o. in their beautiful facilities, we presented our project results and ideas on how to optimise wildflower strips and the wider agricultural landscape. The event brought together farmers, representatives from public administration, NGOs, and fellow researchers. We also gained many valuable insights from practical presentations by our invited speakers from agricultural practise. The workshop was not only limited to indoor lectures, we also took participants into the field, visiting our system of wildflower strips and an experimental grass margin, which was in full bloom and full of insects and other wildlife.

PDF versions of the presentations are available below.

Supported by the projects: Rationalisation of wildflower strip application to support biodiversity on arable land (SS07010296) and Rationalization of agricultural landscapes to combine production functions with efficient biodiversity support (QL24010300).
