Under the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 project (call 2024), Dr. Adi Vesnić and Ms. Lejla Smailagić Vesnić from UNSA visited the CZU during April 3-11, 2025.
They had a meeting with Assoc Prof. Zhongbing Chen’s group members, where the group introduced research progress in wastewater treatment by constructed wetlands for various pollutants (e.g., heavy metals, pesticides, microplastics and pharmaceuticals and personal care products, etc.).
They visited the Hydrochemical Laboratory for water, plants and solid samples analysis, and also visited the greenhouse model wetlands of ongoing research experimental design.
They had a meeting with Prof. Martin Hanel, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Environmental Sciences, to discuss on future cooperation possibilities between the Faculty of Science, University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
During their stay, they have extensive discussion with Assoc Prof. Zhongbing Chen on students and staff exchange, joined research project application, etc. What’s more, they attended a Master course Wetland Conservation and Management
