We were delighted to welcome students from the American Academy to our faculty once again!
Their visit began with a short presentation introducing study opportunities in English at our faculty. Afterwards, students explored the green roof of the Environmental Studies Pavilion, our greenhouses, and the Libosad botanical garden, all thanks to the engaging tour provided by our colleagues from the greenhouses at FAPPZ.
The programme continued at the Department of Water and Landscape Management (KVHEM), where students participated in a hands-on session. They had the opportunity to test both modern and traditional methods of measuring water flow and soil moisture — including the use of a flow tracker, hydrometric propeller, bucket, and float.
To conclude their visit, colleagues from the Department of Spatial Sciences introduced students to drone technologies, explaining their applications in environmental protection. The students also had the chance to try operating the drones themselves.
We truly enjoyed hosting such curious and motivated young visitors, and we look forward to welcoming them again in the future!
