In July 2025, we were pleased to welcome a group of Bachelor’s and Master’s students from Wageningen University, Netherlands. Their academic programme, Soil, Water, Atmosphere, closely aligns with our research themes, which made their visit particularly meaningful.
Given the focus of their studies, we invited them on an excursion to our pilot research facility, Amálie Smart Landscape, where we develop and test elements of the Smart Landscape concept.
During the visit, our colleague Václav Hradilek presented the advanced field instrumentation used to monitor energy and water fluxes, ranging from the atmospheric boundary layer to the groundwater level. The visiting students showed deep interest and subject knowledge, leading to insightful discussions and exchanges of ideas.
We highly appreciated their engagement and curiosity, and we look forward to future collaboration, potentially in joint research activities.
