At the beginning of June, students from the American Academy in Prague visited our faculty. Our colleagues from the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Modelling and the Department of Spatial Sciences prepared a varied programme for them in our Libosad.
It all started with a short campus tour and a presentation about our faculty, followed by a guided tour of the Libosad.
In addition, infiltration and soil moisture measurements were carried out on the grass in the Libosad. The students could try to measure flow rates and velocities with modern and classical methods (flow tracker, hydrometric propeller, bucket method and float).
And at the end, they could fly with our drones. We all had a great time.
